Player Breakdown

Goalkeeper/Defense

Although Kepa had a bit of a rocky start to the season, he has proved towards the end why he deserves to start for this club. I believe Christensen and Azpilicueta should start over Rudiger and Tomori because of their position and marking of players. Reece James has proven that even at such a young age, he can sprint passed players, create chances, and defend extremely well. Marcos Alonso hasn't been the best for us this season but neither has our other left-back, Emerson. Although, Alonso has proven he can get up the field and score when needed.

Midfield

Having many sensational midfielders for the club, it's tough to only pick three. Kante should always be in our starting lineup because of how aggressive he is at tackling, intercepting, and winning the ball. How could you leave the man that won the PFA Player of the Year out in the lineup? As for the outside central midfielders, Loftus-Cheek has shown he can do it all from defending to creating chances and even scoring. Towards the end of the season, Billy Gilmour showed his worth with multiple Man of The Match performances just after being called up from the second team.

Forwards

US National Team player Christian Pulisic should be starting regardless because of the 60 million euros paid for him. Although, I believe he should be playing on the right side because he has shown he knows how to play the position from being at Borussia Dortmund. This brings open the left-wing position for youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi who has shown he has the pace and attacking mindset to play on the wing. I believe Tammy Abraham is our best striker for the club proving at the start of the season that he can score up top.
